Advocates for Special People
Advocates for Special People, Inc. is a support group for parents and families with children who have intellectual disabilities and have graduated high school or are within a few years of doing so. The focus is on creating new and supporting existing programs in which these special adult children can participate.
H.O.P.E. Tutoring Center, Inc.
Epworth has partnered with HOPE, a community-wide, non-profit organization staffed with volunteers who tutor elementary and junior high students in the third through eighth grades. These students are provided with free tutoring in reading, math and homework. For more information please visit HOPE's website, www.hopetutoring.com.
The tutoring schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year 4:00-5:00 pm and 6:30-7:30 pm.
Arlington Life Shelter
Sunday School classes at Epworth volunteer to cook and serve food at the Arlington Life Shelter throughout the year. This organization provides shelter and support services to our homeless neighbors. Arlington Urban Ministries & Tarrant County Mobile Food Bank
Join us on the first Wednesday of every month at 2201 E. Park Row Dr (formerly Aldersgate UMC), where we serve our community by filling food boxes for those in need. We ask that you arrive at 8:30am, and dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather as we will be working outdoors until noon.
